My mom and I are leaving for holiday to Spain shortly. I think new sights will be good for us. Although it is bittersweet because for 2013 all Joe wanted to do was travel. So, it will be me and my mom without Joe.

I will take Joe’s fancy new camera that he used to document Mia’s puppy days and capture some pretty shots of Spain. When I went to Romania my mom wrote me an Eleanor Roosevelt quote I love, “Ships are safe in their harbor but that’s not what ships are made for.” So as we learn to live with a hole in our heart and deep pain, we carry on as Joe would want :).
