Unless you’ve walked where I’ve walked..

Unless you’ve walked where I’ve walked..

“You are just getting started, so have patience with yourself and the process, and do not give up.”

-The Goddess Aeracura

I wrote a poem in the Sloan Narrative Writing class, I think it scared all of the other people. Most who were much older and I couldn’t relate to at all. Here it is. When I think of how far I’ve come, I’m proud of my efforts. So, if you are in a dark place and can’t see the light don’t give up. It’s easy to paste on a smile but don’t hide the pain. Reach out for love when you need to and never give up. Something beautiful will come from your efforts.

All my love,
xx Joe’s Sister

I was asked to describe a household item

Scissors

You cut my pretty flowers

your tips are bright orange.

You cut the tags off my clothes

that make me feel pretty.

You cut up my pictures perfectly,

to tape on the fridge, or bring

to my grandma.

You cut open my puppy’s biscuits

so I can feed her her treats.

But it wasn’t long ago,

I was scared to be left alone with you,

especially when I sleep.

Metal. Sharp.

Easy to slice up pretty things.

Remember the road gets brighter, if you need to reach out please contact me, [email protected].
I’ve walked where you are walking.

And a pretty quote to end with:

“The best and most beautiful
things in the world
cannot be seen or even touched.
They must be felt with the heart.”

-Helen Keller
